Download and install the Hangouts Dialer to activate phone calling functionality in the Hangouts app. After installation, you can access all phone calling features directly from Hangouts or use Hangouts Dialer for a shortcut to the dialer screen in Hangouts.

I’ve wanted and waited for this feature for so long!! it seemed like something so obvious, I have been doing it from hangouts on my PC for so long. The wait is over, and it’s finally here! Once again another great addition to the Android lineup. With this app anybody with a wifi connection can make calls regardless of how bad their service. Love having this app. UPDATE: I don’t like that your number appears to people as unknown. You should be able to use the phone number that you’ve verified on your Google account as the number to display.
